A CHURCH in
BELFAST City Centre
...to glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 15:6)
We are a group of people who proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord of all, including us. We meet regularly in Apsley Hall, Belfast. Our aim is to glorify God by the teaching of His Word.
We are Christians who take the Word of God as our authority, but we don’t belong to a particular denomination. Anyone who wants to attend is welcome to do so. We only request that visitors respect our beliefs and convictions.
Bible Taster Sunday at 7pm
All welcome to come along, of any faith or no faith at all to get a taste of the Bible and some pizza!

What’s on in Apsley
Sunday @10.30
Lord’s Supper
On Sunday mornings at 10:30am, we get together to remember the Lord Jesus Christ in the way he requested. This is done through quiet reflection focusing on his substitutionary death on our behalf. Different men lead this time by praying, reading portions from the Bible and sharing thoughts and appropriate hymns. We then partake of bread and wine as symbols of the body and blood of Christ. After this, someone delivers a message from the Bible to encourage and build us up in our faith.

Apsley Bible Club
September to May. During the school term at 5pm on Sundays is the Apsley Bible Club (ABC), a free event at which children and young teens take part in crafts, games, singing, and listen to a story from the Bible. Free bus collection is available from certain areas. Please get in touch if you would like your child to be collected.

Bible Teaching
Each Sunday at 7pm we have a programme of Bible teaching. A Bible teacher delivers a talk based on an assigned topic or a book of the Bible that lasts approximately 40 minutes. The aim is to explain the meaning of Scripture in a way that everyone can understand and relate to. This is followed by refreshments, time for questions and chat. On the last Sunday of the month there is a more relaxed and simple message aimed at those new to Christianity. The current teaching schedule is here. Our library of Bible Teaching is here.
Bible Tasters
On the last Sunday of the month at 7pm we have an informal event for people to come and have a taste of the Bible (and lots of food)
Thursday @19.30
Prayer and praise
On the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at 7:30pm, we have prayer and praise evenings. Anyone may request prayer. It can relate to world events, personal requests or thanksgiving, and there is a specific theme to focus our prayers. The prayer time is preceded by a reading from the Bible that engages our minds before we pray. We also sing and end with refreshments.
Bible Study
On the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 7.30pm, we have a Bible Study usually based on the passage being preached on Sundays. The study focuses on the background, context and any interesting issues arising from the passage. The aim is to help build an understanding of the Bible as a whole. There is time for refreshments afterward, again!
